El Rey, Anton Lizardo, Veracruz RV Park!
I am pleased to report that there is still a Mexican RV park / trailer park near Veracruz city, Mexico. The old Mocambo hotel used to offer RV parking but not anymore. Do not stop there. Some people will take your money and then you will be run off by the police. The El Rey down the road half an hour in Anton Lizardo, past Boca del Rio (with the best seafood in Mexico IMO) is an excellent RV park.
The El Rey RV / Trailer park in Anton Lizardo, Veracruz is at KM 10.5 Boca del Rio - Anton Lazaro Road (3 Km before arriving to Antón Lizardo Village). The El Rey RV park is about 15-20 minutes from Veracruz city. El Rey is one of the nicest Mexican RV parks on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. El Rey is 25.6 Km from Veracruz downtown. A new road with 3 lines on each side is being built from Boca del Rio to Antón Lizardo, its called “the new Veracruz Riviera” where the major residential developments are being built. Right now almost half of it its done.
The owner Jose Barraza has run the El Rey RV Park for 5 years and it is a truly nice-looking RV park with all the facilities and much, much more. There is a rainforest and ecological reserve nearby where you can go to see nature. There are tours, activities and things you don't normally find at an RV park. The same owner also have an eco-tourism natural attraction location with cabins set between a beach and a tropical forest. They have all sorts of activities for kids as well as diving and rafting. See
